So I finished my last cake decorating class last Wednesday. Decorated a cake with the roses that I learned how to make. These cupcakes are not a good picture of what I really learned. I still have a lot of practice to do before I become a pro. Though my roses were pretty dang good as far as I am concerned. I can't wait to continue the other courses so I can learn even more and start making some money from it.

Emma's birthday was in july and we took her to Red Robin for her birthday dinner. we gave her some books to open that night. She loves books. Right now books are her favorite. We got her "Barnyard Dance" by Sandra Boynton and "The little green turtle" and i am not sure of the author and I am not about to get up and go look. But they are both really cute books. If you can see in the background her Kangaroo with a little joey in the pouch. That was her birthday stuffy. She wanted to take it everywhere. I made both of them hats. Emma's kept falling off of her.

Ah, Emma is wearing her hat in this picture. She is so stinkin' cute.

I wanted to let her have a fun and special day on her birthday. I let her paint her own picture. She had so much fun doing it. She is quite the artist just like her mommy. Even today she asks if she can paint. She also thinks that everyday is her birthday and says she wants to go to the park.

A couple of months ago we adopted a dog. There is a stray that roams the neighborhood who had 8 puppies that we know of. We took 5 to the Humane Society and two we gave to Chris' old boss who gave one to their neighbor and we got this one. She is such a good dog. Very obedient. She is kennel trained, potty trained and doesn't bark unless we are playing with her. In this picture she has blue eyes. Such a beautiful dog. Well, her eyes are no longer blue. They are a very light brown, but she is still beautiful. Super sweet! I am glad that we have her. Her name is Ellee. She is not this small any more and will still get bigger. She is going to be my running partner. Chris is too fast for me and I can make her go my speed.

Oklahoma City Temple. Chris and I took a trip there last month. I love the temple!

Chris has been gone for a week in Utah for a job training. He is no longer working for Chem Dry and is now working for APX Alarm with which he will be installing the alarm systems and doing maintenance work on others. He has had a great week in Utah. He now wants to move there. I don't blame him. I love Utah too. I am partial to it only because I served a mission there and went to massage school there and there are tons of temples there.
But, we are very lucky that he got this job. Chem Dry was strictly commission and with this new job he is guaranteed 32 hours even on slow days. It is hourly pay, 40 hours a week and he can up sell and earn more money. He is a hard worker and is really good with people. His goal is to work his way up and I know he can do it easily. I am amazed at all that he can do. He is very determined.
He is still in Utah, I will be 38 weeks on Saturday and I am ready for this little boy to come out. I am going to try to get him out by this Sunday at least. Sunday is August 29th. That would be a perfect day. It is my sister Maleah's birthday who passed away August 3, 2003. I think that tomorrow I am going to take Emma to the zoo and walk all day and hopefully go into labor that night. I am praying hard for it! I am glad that I have made it through the whole week while Chris has been gone.

I am 35 weeks and on the down hill counting down. I am hoping to not go to my due date, but a whole lot sooner. I seriously look like I have swallowed a basketball. The little boy in my tummy is very active and very squirmy. It feels like a giant snake sliding in there all of the time. I am super excited to be having another baby come into the family. Emma will be a great big sister. I think she understands that she is going to have a baby brother thanks to Blues Room in "Meet Blue's baby brother." I know she is excited to have a brother. She is a good little girl.
So I have been nesting just a little bit. I had a burst of energy yesterday and got Emma's room all rearranged for him to be in there with her. We don't have a crib, but we are going to be using the pack 'n' play bassinet. It will work just as good as a crib for now. I just took Emma's crib down yesterday. It was the one that can turn into a day bed. It is the one where the side can come down. Well, that part broke, so we cannot use that again, only for the day bed. I am going to call to see if I can get my money back and to see if it has been recalled. Who knows!
Chris went to the hospital the other day to see if there was anything that we needed to know since we don't have insurance. If we go in after midnight then we don't have to pay for the room. I will try to shoot for that. no guarantees though. It all depends on when my water breaks and how long it takes me to dilate after that. I am hoping it all happens really fast. I plan on doing it all natural. It will be less out of our pocket. I will try to endure it the best i can. A lot of women have done it natural and they survived the pain! I will try not to be a wimp. Now, if they have to induce me then I am going to be a wimp and get an epidural.
I have been pretty crafty lately. I made an apron for my cake decorating class that Jerusha and I are taking together, and I made a nursing cover so I can nurse in private. They were fun and easy to make. I want to make more. I have a lot of friends having babies. I have made a nursing cover for one of them for her gift. She said to me that out of all of the gifts she received that that was the one she used the most. Now I want to make him a little blanket to match the nursing cover. I love having a sewing machine! It is very handy to have. I just need a surger now.
I need to have this baby soon because I am running out of room in my pants. even my maternity pants are getting a little snug to wear. My shirts are becoming too small even and they are maternity. He has dropped a lot so my tummy hangs out the bottom of my shirt if I am not careful.
